Man Apprehended By Secret Service Near White House After Assaulting Officer: Reports

A man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a Secret Service officer outside the White House in D.C., WTOP reported.

The suspect attacked the uniformed officer just before 12:30 p.m. on August 9, authorities said.

Though the identity of the suspect and his motive were not released, the officer reported minor injuries, WTOP said.
